Smethurst Junction
00 gauge, 4mm/foot.
Set in in North-East Manchester during the 1990s. It depicts a junction station with associated factories. The station is served by a regular service of Diesel Multiple Units (DMUs) to / from Manchester and beyond. There is an engineers yard and locomotive serving point. Further along is the Industrial Wire-works which receives frequent trainloads of raw materials. Currently set in the post-privatisation era, with survivor diesel classes such as 37s, 47s etc. Other eras are also modelled with more recent classes running trains appropriate to their era, such as class 66.
The layout has been converted from analogue DC to DCC using the Gaugemaster Prodigy Advance system.
